A new awesome find for secondary students: Newsela.com

This website is awesome! I came across it when I was looking for my students that have a lower reading level. It is called newsela.com

It is common core related and it was designed for students that range from 8th grade to 12th grade with lower reading levels. It has various reading levels from 4th grade reading level to more advanced!

There are four reading levels that you can change an article to.

This is the main page when you first see the website!

You must create an account by following the directions for full access to all the unique features.

There are four different reading levels for this 8th grade science article.

You can see the difference between three of the reading levels here in the next few pictures:

Then another great part about this site is there is the option for quiz questions!

Overall I feel this site could be used to target many activities for speech therapy.
Articulation Carryover
Reading Comprehension
Listening Comprehension
Main Idea and Supporting Details
and many many more!

Try it out and let me know how it goes!
